Only workers have an account on Nearse. You can delete yours from inside the app in about a minute, without asking anyone's permission.
Last updated 27 July 2026 · Applies to nearse.in and the Nearse app
Open Nearse → Register as a worker → sign in with your WhatsApp number and PIN → scroll to Delete my profile → type DELETE to confirm. That is the whole process. There is no waiting period and nobody reviews it.
What gets deleted
Everything we hold that identifies you, immediately and permanently:
- Your name, WhatsApp number and email.
- Your photo — both the profile picture and the thumbnail, removed from our image storage as well as from the database.
- Your services, rates and experience.
- Your locality and approximate coordinates.
- Your PIN (only ever stored as a bcrypt hash) and your WhatsApp verification code.
- Any ratings customers left on your profile.
Your profile disappears from customer searches the moment you confirm. It cannot be restored, so if you come back later you will be creating a new profile.
What we keep, and for how long
Two things survive deletion, and only for as long as we have a reason to hold them:
- Booking records — kept up to 12 months so we can look into a complaint about a job. These record the request, not your profile.
- Records of a complaint made about you, where one exists, kept while it is being dealt with.
Nothing is kept for advertising, analytics or resale — we do none of those. Deletions run automatically once a day, so anything past its period goes without being asked.
If you cannot sign in
Forgotten your PIN, lost the number, or the app will not open? Ask us and we will delete it for you. Write from the email or WhatsApp number on the profile if you can, so we know it is yours.
Customers
Booking a worker does not create an account, and we ask for nothing until you send a request. If you have sent one and want the record removed, email us with the number you used and we will erase it.
Your rights
Deleting your profile is how you withdraw consent under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You may also ask what we hold about you, correct it, or complain — to our Grievance Officer first, and to the Data Protection Board of India if we do not resolve it. The full picture is in our privacy policy.
