Nearse is new, and this is an early, experimental release. We are live in Guwahati only, our worker list is still small, and some things will change or break as we learn. If something does not work, or a worker does not respond, please tell us — at this stage your complaint genuinely shapes what we build next.
Why we built it
Finding a reliable electrician, maid, cook or tutor in Guwahati usually means asking a neighbour and hoping. There is no shortage of skilled people here. What is missing is a straightforward way for them to be found.
Meanwhile the worker — the person who actually does the job — is often the one with the least say. Someone else quotes the price, someone else takes a cut, and the worker gets whatever is left.
Nearse is our attempt at the opposite arrangement.
How it works
If you need work done
Search for what you need, or browse by category. You see workers near you first, with their rates, their locality and their rating. Tap one, choose the service, when you need it and where, and your request goes straight to them on WhatsApp. You agree the final amount with them directly.
If you are looking for work
Create a free profile, pick up to three services, and set your own price for each. Confirm your WhatsApp number, add a photo, and once we have reviewed your profile you start appearing in customer searches near you. Bookings arrive on your WhatsApp. You keep every rupee.
What we promise
- No commission. We take nothing from a worker's earnings. The rate you see is the rate the worker set.
- Every profile is checked by a person. Not an algorithm — someone reviews the photo, the details and the number before a profile goes live.
- Workers set their own prices. We do not set them, suggest them or take a cut of them.
- No middleman in the conversation. Your request goes directly to the worker.
What we are not
We think it is only fair to be equally clear about the limits.
- Nearse is a place to find each other, not an employer. Workers are independent — they are not our staff, and we do not supervise or direct their work.
- We are not a party to your agreement. The price, the timing and the quality of the work are settled between you and the worker.
- Our review confirms that a profile looks genuine. It is not a background check, a police verification, or a guarantee of the quality of anyone's work. Please use ordinary good sense, especially when inviting someone into your home.
- We do not handle payments. Money passes directly between you and the worker.

Where we are
Guwahati only, for now — every locality from Jalukbari to Narengi, Amingaon to Azara. We would rather be genuinely useful in one city than thinly spread across many. Other cities will come once this one works properly.
